I’m working on a lot of solo stuff, hopefully going to a studio soon. I’m also looking for a band at the moment.
I’ve come to realize that technology is blinding. A normal reaction to this statement would probably be “HERP A DERP” or “WTF YU TALKING ABOOT”. Let me go into detail with the point I’m trying to make.
The amount of time individuals spend on their phones, computers, etc. is mind blowing. The amount of time spent outside of the conscious world throughout a lifetime is impossible to comprehend, just like the amount of space there is in the universe. While you’re playing video games, watching t.v or sitting on the computer your focus is attached to that general direction. Time passes by quickly, while the world is bustling by.
I’m not necessarily bashing technology because advances in technology have increased our standard of living dramatically. But at the same time seeing what Facebook, as well as other social networking sites has done to certain individuals really puts me in a weird state of mind. Facebook is no longer (for the most part) used for it’s sole purpose, “SOCIAL NETWORKING”. It has caused most users to become narcissistic, obsessed with their own portrayal of themselves rather then the interaction they rarely take part in.
I’ve realized that happiness is so easy to achieve, but most people make up excuses to keep themselves from being happy.
If you had 1 million dollars and only 24 hours to spend it, what would you do? You wouldn’t sit on your computer letting the day pass by.
With good health comes a freedom that most people take for granted. Once your health dissipates you will no longer have the freedom of living your life to the fullest. One day you’ll wish you had more time, something you may or may not have plenty of at this moment.
Just some of my thoughts.
